WHERE TO START

WELCOME CENTER & ASSESSMENT

The Assessment and Referral Center is unique in the fact they will do an independent assessment to determine the appropriate level of care.  Once that is determined our staff discuss options for treatment and will refer you to the most suitable program that meets your needs.

  • Our Welcome Center can answer initial questions and schedule potential patients for an assessment, typically within 24-72 hours.

  • We conduct a face-to-face assessment at our Assessment Center located in Arlington Virginia. Our assessment is based on American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) placement guidelines, which includes comprehensive clinical evaluations for substance use disorders and related health and mental health conditions. This helps us identify the most appropriate level of care for each patient, from addiction rehab to outpatient treatment. A virtual assessment may be scheduled for anyone unable to travel to the Assessment Center.

  • The assessment process takes approximately 90 minutes. When you arrive for your assessment, please bring your insurance card and a valid picture ID. Please bring a list of all your current medications.

  • After checking in, you will meet with a Masters level clinician to review your medical, drug, mental health and social history. Conversations may be held with family members, and/or other necessary individuals as required. In addition, the assessment includes a drug screen and a COVID test.

  • Assessments are covered by most insurance policies. A member of our finance team will meet with you to discuss financial arrangements for the recommended level of care.
